          Muhammad Shah Abaz Islam has more than two decades of experience in professional consulting in the areas of intellectual property rights protection, anti-illicit trade operation, corporate due diligence, training and trade consulting.

Md. Shah has overseen the multi-faceted business divisions of the company, and successfully implemented strategies for business growth and profitability. He has in-depth knowledge of diverse industries and changing business environments, which enables him to capture business opportunities and to expand the geographical coverage and capabilities of the company over the years. He has also managed complex and sensitive consulting projects for clients from the Fortune 500 companies and consistently delivered excellent results exceeding client expectations.

Prior to joining the company, Md. Shah held management positions in the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Home Affairs of Singapore in various roles such as revenue protection, security operation and international investigation. In his ten years of dedicated government service, he had won numerous ministry and departmental awards or commendations for Operational and Service Excellence.

Md. Shah was trained by the International Law Enforcement Academy in Bangkok, Thailand and Roswell, USA on criminal investigations and advanced management techniques respectively.  He was an in-house trainer for Investigation and Intelligence Techniques course for the Customs department in Singapore.  He also provided expert advice on conference held by the Regional Intelligence Liaison Office of the World Customs Organization (RILO, WCO) in South Korea on the issue of illicit tobacco trade which adversely affected the sustainability and economic growth of the legal industry in various South East Asian countries.  In June 2026, Md. Shah served as a panelist on Illicit Smuggled and Trans-shipped Goods in an Interpol Singapore event which focus on combating illicit trade and trans-national organized crimes.

Md. Shah is a graduate from the University of London (London School of Economics).
