R.A.M. Investigations was established by Rick Martinez in 2020. Recognizing the need for high-quality investigations within the insurance industry and the emerging field of drone liability investigations, Rick was inspired to create his agency.

Rick has had a distinguished career as a U.S. Army Military Police Investigator and a decorated law enforcement officer with the Orange County California Sheriff's Department and the Fountain Valley Police Department. During his service, he held various roles including patrol and field training officer, traffic homicide investigator, SWAT and Hostage Negotiations Team member, and white-collar crimes detective.

Rick holds a commercial helicopter pilot rating, an FAA Part 107 drone operator's certification, and he was instrumental in establishing a large insurance company's drone program. In the mid-1990s, he worked for a major helicopter manufacturer as a legal investigator, reviewing and assessing NTSB accident reports and assisting in-house counsel with product liability defense. He also co-chaired the Safety and Education Committee for the Professional Helicopter Pilots Association (PHPA) of Southern California.

With over 25 years of experience investigating suspected fraudulent insurance claims with the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) of several major insurance companies, Rick has specialized in managing investigative teams, including major case units. He excels in individual and team development, quality assurance processes, and the implementation of current technologies. His proficiency in a wide range of investigations forms the cornerstone of R.A.M. Investigations.

Rick is a member of the Florida Association of Licensed Investigators and a Certified Member of the Council of International Investigators.
